PRESS RELEASE - New Operations Building Honors Local Leader - Ribbon Cutting Ceremony


The Board of Directors of Affiliated Healthcare Systems and the Doug Brown family will hold a ribbon cutting/open house on Monday, May 22nd for the “Douglas H. Brown Building”, a new 28,800 square foot office and operations building at 931 Union Street which houses Affiliated Healthcare Systems’ corporate and operations offices as well as its Affiliated Collections, Affiliated Lab Billing, Affiliated Transcription, Affiliated Healthcare Management and Capital Ambulance divisions.

“The Douglas H. Brown Building honors an exceptional man whose contributions to Affiliated Healthcare Systems and EMHS elevated the standards for Board leadership”, commented Miles Theeman, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for Affiliated Healthcare Systems.

A founding member of the Affiliated Healthcare Systems board of directors, Doug provided over thirty years of dedicated service to several EMHS organizations.  His business acumen, ethics, vision, tenacity and guidance had an inspirational impact on directors and management.  An unwavering supporter of Affiliated Healthcare Systems and its entrepreneurial spirit, Doug’s candid advice and heartfelt counsel consistently made Affiliated a better organization.

Naming of this building in Doug’s honor ensures that the impact of his contributions will be indelibly etched into the history of Affiliated Healthcare Systems.

The ribbon cutting ceremony will take place at 4 pm.
